Christmas and New Year Year Greeting from our MD Fred Chen

As we are approaching the end of another very challenging year, allow me to start by wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year 2022.

Year 2021 is a difficult year with the pandemic Covid-19 and ongoing new variants. New challenges also emerged at macro level: from the China-Australia tradewar, leading to sky rocketing steel prices and cut in Chinese steel export tax rebates in first half of the year; Power shortages and sea freight prices surge by a few folds in the 2nd half.

Nevertheless, with the support from our customers and the joint efforts of our staffs playing their respective roles responsibly, we managed to sail through calmly during this extraordinary period.

As for 2022, we remain cautious as we await new economic policy from the Chinese government especially on the Chinese developers, re-election of the 3rd term for Chinese President and also the interest rate hike from US Federal Reserve starting from June.

Just in time delivery will no longer be possible with the current pandemic situation and frequent governments’ interventions.Therefore, we urge customers to forecast ahead or allow more lead time for shipments.
